Hot dog King’s Hot Dog Sauce

Everybody has a favorite hot dog sauce. Ollie has listed several on this site before. This one comes from a shop thats been around about 75 years and going strong.

Hot dog King’s Hot Dog Sauce

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp salt

3/4 tsp oregano

3/4 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

2 cups water

Directions:

Brown meat, breaking into small pieces as you stir frequently, along with onions. Drain, add spices and mix well. Add water and simmer for one hour.

Leftovers? Freeze ‘em.
