Three Berry Pie

A local restaurant near Ollie serves this pie a couple of times a year when berries are plentiful. They get about $8 or $9 per pie.

Fasnacht is a yeast-raised potato pastry that’s deep fried like a doughnut.
Fasnachts were originally made and served on Shrove Tuesday to use up the fat that was forbidden during lent.

Most of my friends, the Amish, keep their recipes fairly simple. This Pot Pie is no exception.
EZ Amish Pot Pie
Ingredients: 
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp shortening

A fast meal to prepare and ever so tasty.
Grilled London Broil
Ingredients: 
1 1/2 pounds top round steak 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick.
5 large garlic cloves
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
