EZ Tomato Gravy and Rice

This is a tasty side dish that will go well with nearly any meal.
Tomato Gravy and Rice
1 cup uncooked rice
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup onions, chopped
4 slices bacon
1/4 cup green bell pepper
3 tbsp flour
Pepper to taste
Directions:
Prepare rice according to package directions.
Fry bacon in a skillet until done, but not crisp, then cut into small pieces.
Add onions and green pepper to skillet and saute’ until soft. Add tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes.
Mix flour with enough water to make a smooth paste. Add to the other ingredients, stirring constantly until thickened. Serve over cooked rice.
